Dr. Basanti will do a thorough examination of the skin lesion with dermoscopy (a tool that helps magnify each lesion) and ensure it is benign prior to any removal being done. If the lesion is deemed to have any concerning qualities, we will ensure it gets sent for pathology. If the skin lesion Is deemed to be benign on Dr. Basanti’s examination any removal will be billed privately to the patient. Any lesion removal will leave a small scar – we try to minimize all scars (especially in the case of cosmetic removal) ­ furthermore, we have lasers and tools to decrease the further if the patient should deem necessary.
