Pre-Treatment Instructions
To prepare for Moxi™, please avoid the following for 5–7 days prior:
- Retinoids, retinols, or other exfoliants
- Active acids (glycolic, salicylic, lactic, etc.)
- Other facial treatments that may irritate the skin
- Laser treatments in the treatment area
- Prolonged sun exposure or tanning (including self-tanner)
During the Treatment
- Sessions typically last 15–30 minutes, depending on treatment area
- As the laser passes over your skin, you may feel heat with mild prickling or tingling
- Most clients find this tolerable; numbing cream and cooling air are used to maximize comfort
Post-Treatment Instructions
- Skin may appear red and feel warm immediately after, similar to a mild sunburn (1–3 days)
- Over the next few days, your skin may feel slightly rough or sandy as MENDs (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) form and naturally slough off
- Within 5–7 days, skin will feel smoother, brighter, and more even-toned
