Pre-Treatment Instructions
Avoid the following for at least 5–7 days prior:
- Retinoids, retinols, or active acids (glycolic, salicylic, lactic, etc.)
- Other facial treatments or procedures that may irritate the skin
- Laser treatments in the same area
- Prolonged sun exposure or tanning (including self-tanners)
During the Treatment
- A topical anesthetic cream is applied to maximize comfort
- The HALO™ handpiece glides across the skin, producing heat and a mild prickling sensation
- Integrated cooling technology is used during and after treatment to ease discomfort
- Procedure time: 30–45 minutes, depending on treatment area
Post-Treatment Instructions
- Immediately after: skin appears red and feels warm, similar to a moderate sunburn
- Redness and swelling: typically resolve within 3–5 days
- Skin texture: feels rough or sandpaper-like for 1–2 days as MENDs (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) form
- Renewal: over the next 7–14 days, roughness naturally sloughs off, revealing smooth, radiant skin
- Aftercare: a complimentary post-procedure skincare kit is provided to hydrate, soothe, and protect during recovery
