Wrinkles/fine lines/Rhytides
Wrinkles are lines that form in the skin due to both intrinsic and extrinsic factors ( the difference between wrinkles and fine lines is that wrinkles are deeper than fine lines). Intrinsic factors involved in aging include the normal aging process, which is due to our genetics. As we hit our mid-20s, collagen production decreases by 1% a year and collagen is the protein that gives our skin its structure. Extrinsic aging involves factors from the outside – these include sun exposure, oxidative stress (due to foods/pollution etc.), smoking, alcohol, and diet. All of these extrinsic factors lead to rough skin tone/texture and wrinkles.
Prevention will minimize how our skin will age – the biggest way to prevent extrinsic aging is sun protection. At Sorora, we offer medical-grade skincare which includes sunscreen which offers protection from UVA and UVB rays.
We offer a range of treatments for fine lines and wrinkles. We custom tailor these treatments to your specific needs. Some of the treatments that help medical grade skin care, neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), dermal hyaluronic acid fillers, laser resurfacing (HALO™, Moxi™, ProFractional™ by Sciton™, microneedling (with Skin Pen™ and Morpheus 8™), Forever Young BBL™.
